The two surgeons beside you all week
Every case on every course is supervised by Dr Zakir and Dr Salvoni. Between them they bring decades of implant surgery and teaching.
Dr Nafees Zakir
BDS, PGCert, PGDip, MScNafees qualified from the University of Manchester in 2005. He finished a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry in 2007, then a Masters in Dental Implantology with Distinction in 2013. In 2015 he added a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice.
He has run his own private practice in Manchester since 2007. It’s limited to dental implants, and other dentists across the region refer their complex implant cases to him. He also teaches on the Masters programme at the University of Salford as a Senior Clinical Lecturer.
Dr Alexander Salvoni
DDS, MScD, PhDAlexander studied Dentistry at the Methodist University of São Paulo and Oral Pathology at the University of São Paulo. He’s a specialist in implantology and a professor at the Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons.
He’s known internationally for the zygomatic technique and has placed more than 1,000 zygomatic implants. As a coordinator of postgraduate education in São Paulo, he trains clinicians from around the world at his clinic, which is where delegates operate on this course.
